A couple weekends ago I was in Santa Cruz for my friend’s 30th birthday party. We rented a house near the beach and the plan was to just enjoy eachother’s company and relax. I Love getaways like this. No huge plans and no rush to do anything. Life is good!
I did not have my camera on me the entire time but on Saturday I was able to take some photos on our stroll to a nearby restaurant. Since my 365 project I take pictures of everything I see that is interesting.
So here is a little tidbit about myself. Two things I love doing. Number 1: going on trips, big or small. I absolutely LOVE adventures. I LOVE leaving town. Number 2: eating at new restaurants. Not new but new to me and especially restaurants featured on TV such as Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. I am not a chain restaurant person, I want quality food. Well anyways I love Santa Cruz. Oh yes I do. I wish I could spend more time on the coast.

Lunch at Aldo’s was delicious. It turned out to be a beautiful day and having lunch on the water was so relaxing. We split the calamari and it was scrumptious. I also had the cioppino but I took a few bites before I remembered to take a picture of it. I find that happens a lot. I get excited about my meal I forget my plan of taking a picture of it and dive right in. oops!Then we finished the afternoon with some wine tasting.
