The Old Sugar Mill | portraits

I really enjoy the days where I can be completely creative and take pictures for fun. My last creative day was with my friend a couple months ago and we spent the day exploring Sonoma. It is really nice to not have to worry about getting the perfect shot and just have fun.

Last month I joined a local photography meet-up group. I have wanted to attend a few meet-ups in the past but I don’t have many free weekends it seems. It is a good way to meet other photographers, have creative freedom for the day and explore a new places. This meet-up took place at the Old Sugar Mill in Clarksbrurg.  I LOVE this place. It has a collection of wineries in the main building and multiple buildings in the back with a lot of character. It is also an amazing wedding venue. I have visited a couple times for wine tastings but never got a chance to take photographs. We spent the afternoon wondering around a crumbling building taking pictures of multiple models. The old building was amazing and full of diffused light. I can’t wait to go back because there is so much more to explore.

I really enjoyed working on these photos and love how they turned out.
